James
P. DeVellis, MD - Orthopedic Surgeon
After completing
a Sports Medicine Fellowship, my wife and I returned to Winchester
to start my practice and raise our four daughters.
Over
the last five years, I have increased my interest in complex
knee and shoulder problems. My initial approach to orthopedic
injuries is one of patient education and conservative treatment
prior to considering surgery.
My surgical
focus is around arthroscopic procedures to repair ACL and
rotator cuff injuries, significant cartilage lesions and
shoulder instability.
In addition
to my personal athletic interests like long distance running,
my sports medicine focus keeps me busy as the team physician
for Bentley College.
