Jennifer M. Smith, PT
Jennifer Smith graduated from Sacred Heart University with her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 2001. Immediately after graduation she moved to Birmingham, AL to begin work at a prominent orthopedic/sports medicine clinic. During her 5 years in Birmingham she had the opportunity to work with and learn from the country’s top surgeons and therapists. She was actively involved in educational lectures and was a clinical instructor for multiple Physical Therapy students.

Jen joined Excel in 2006 and works with a variety of patients ranging from the post-surgical/arthritic patient to the professional athlete. Jen will develop individualized treatment plans for each patient depending on his/her personal goals, and encourages patient feedback and active involvement in care. She uses manual techniques in combination with therapeutic exercise to help patients return to their functional and/or sporting activities.
