Leana graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences. While working towards that degree, Leana obtained a part time job at Excel as a rehab aide in 2007. Through the years, Leana has since been employed with the company, varying as both a full-time and part-time employee, in a multitude of positions including rehab aide, front desk receptionist, and assisting in the insurance and referral department.
Leana made the decision to return to school and leave her full-time position at Excel to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a therapist. She graduated from Bay State College with her Physical Therapist Assistant degree in 2015, and is excited to have returned to be a part of the Excel family in her new role treating patients. Leana enjoys working with patients of all ages and levels and loves utilizing all of her skills, including manual therapy and knowledge of therapeutic exercises to improve patient function.
When she isn’t working, Leana loves to spend time down by the ocean or at her family vacation home in the White Mountains (especially shopping at the outlets). She also loves spending time with her family and friends and playing backyard sports, including football and softball. She is an avid Patriots and Bruins fan, but will watch any Boston sporting event.
